Participation Requirements

The Warrenton Chorale is a non-auditioned community group which is friendly, loves music, and has the available time to commit to rehearsals while being dedicated to the production of the finest musical performances possible. While it helps if interested singers can read music and be experienced in four-part choral singing, it is only required that singers use their God-given talents and abilities to learn.

Seasons

There are two concert seasons: Christmas (usually the first weekend in December) and spring (usually the last weekend in April).

Rehearsal Requirements

Rehearsals are held at Highland School, Warrenton, VA on Tuesdays from 7:00 - 9:00 for twelve (12) weeks prior to the concerts.

Rehearsals are critical to the quality of the performances. The integrity of the group and its commitment to the highest caliber performances possible must be respected. Therefore, attendance at all rehearsals is expected of the singers. We understand, however, that unforeseen circumstances and illnesses may arise. Two misses will be allowed. Any exceptions will be individually reviewed.

Rehearsal Etiquette

Please, arrive promptly for warm-up exercises. Wear comfortable clothing and please do not "refresh" your cologne or perfume. Many are sensitive to odors and have strong allergies. Turn off technical devices. Pay attention to the music director’s instructions and make pencil notations on your music as necessary. We strongly encourage you to bring a bottle of water to rehearsal for proper hydration. Please wear your name tag provided for you at registration.

Registration Fee

Mail-in registration: $35 per participant/$60 for 2 in household Fee will include a complimentary CD recording of the concert.
